Meet Libby.

Libby is 12 years old. She has Anorexia Nervosa which is an eating disorder. She is afraid of gaining weight and has trouble eating enough food to grow healthily. Food is her medicine, but she doesn't want to eat so it is hard to get better.

This is a serious mental health disease that can also affect her heart, bones and other aspects of her health. Sometimes Libby has to be hospitalized so doctors, nurses, dieticians and therapists can help her eat the right amounts of food and stabilize her heart. Libby also has anxiety. Sometimes she takes medicine to help with this, but she also uses meditation, yoga and aromatherapy when she needs to calm down.

Libby is the leader of the superheroes. She is very kind and understanding and always tries to help others feel better. She knows that it is what is on the inside of people that counts, not how they look. She is small but strong, brave, sassy and funny. She is very smart, and gets all A's in school - she is really good at math, science and foreign languages.

Libby likes singing, Christmas, warm weather, shopping, reality tv, solving puzzles, fashion and the color pink. She lives in Michigan in a townhouse with her mom and dad, her cat, CocoaPuff, and her hamster, Teddy. As Pathfinder, Libby is an empath, meaning that she has a natural emotional connection with others. She can also communicate with anyone she encounters, because she intuitively speaks their language, whether that person is someone from another country, or another planet – or a tree.

She can also connect one place with another by creating portals, whether it’s from one room to the next or to another dimension. With her powers she is a natural leader, and she takes the Young Superheroes on trips to every place imaginable.
